Fireside Bookshop in Stroud love live music as well as excellent books. We've teamed up with the brilliant Prince Albert to bring you some evenings of fantastic live music from some of the UK's finest touring and local acts. We'll also be hosting the same acts on the same afternoon at Stroud Brewery as part of our Music Nest 'Grownup gigs that welcome kids' shows, so whether you want to share some live music the family or fancy an evening of sonic escapism we've got you covered!

Pete Greenwood (solo show) - Pete's debut album Sirens was released on cult indie label Heavenly Records, the label that gave so many bands of that era their first break from Beth Orton to Doves and beyond. Since then his releases have all gained critical acclaim and seen him tour extensively in his own right as well as playing with other acts such as Starsailor and Majove 3. He has himself become a cult figure on the singer songwriter circuit with his deft guitar playing and intelligent songwriting always at the fore.

In more recent years he's teamed up with a band and the sound has developed into something more complex and layered but underpinning it all is the fantastic songwriting that has become his calling card and which has long endeared him to those in the know.

Delifinger - is the on-off alter-ego of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Matthew Lacey (OLO Worms / Grasscourt).

Back when Matthew was a member of cult Bristol band OLO Worms, it was decided that members should all adopt stage personas, and thus the name Delifinger was plucked from thin air. Over the last 16 years there have been numerous low-key releases and equally low-key live offerings, following a very stop-start pattern. Many times, the door has been closed on the project, only to be reopened years later under a cloud of dust. Last year Delifinger released ‘Small Love’ on the legendary Lost Map Records
