Our friends at Fireside Books moved to Stroud from Brighton, and have brought with them an enthusiasm that we loved and have chatted much. From these natters we discovered their connection with many artists we have mutual respect for, and also the fact that they are old hands at arranging gigs and events. So we are delighted that this is the first event we are hosting with them. Long live live music, and the written word..
Catgod - 'If it’s genre-defying fusions of sounds you’re after, then Oxford band Catgod may be just what you’re looking for. Amalgamating influences from traditional folk and indie rock to trip hop and psychedelia' Fortitude Magazine.
The band have featured regularly on BBC 6 Music with their last three singles getting prime time airplay in the lead up to the release of their stunning debut album. We're very excited to be bringing them to Stroud for the first time!
Natalie Holmes - Folk influenced music with a pulsating pop heartbeat. Lilting, haunting and yet somehow invigorating, with honey-toned vocals and an incredible depth to every song. Natalie is a DIY musician who's built an impressive resume and dedicated following.
Please note Catgod and Natalie are also playing the same afternoon at Stroud Brewery for our Music Nest family friendly gigs, so please don't get the two shows mixed up!
